The Amphibia is the cheapest genuine 200 metre mechanical diver with its own in house movement. Its sealing design, a deliberately loose crown and a caseback that tightens under pressure, has worked since the 1960s. The 420 case is 39 mm with a tall acrylic dome, so it wears smaller than most divers here, and the modding scene makes bezels and dials cheap to swap. Accuracy and finishing lag a Seiko, but nothing else at this price offers this much history and toughness.

Owners on forums call it built like a tank and great value, and many like the 39 mm case and domed crystal. Some figures could not be verified: Case diameter 39 mm and lug width are from reviews; thickness and lug to lug are left null because the published 39 x 46 x 15 mm figure is unlabelled. Import into the EU is legal under Regulation 833/2014 as amended to the 21st package (steel watches are not in Annex XXI), but the supply route is fragile and the 22nd package was not yet published.
