Everyday, adventure, office, water, travel

The green Alpinist has been the enthusiast default for a go anywhere automatic for years, and the late 2025 update made it better. The new 6R55 adds a little reserve, the case is half a millimetre thinner with a scratch resistant coating, and the dial returns to the cleaner 1995 look. With 200m of water resistance and an inner compass ring, it is tougher than the Hamilton and dressier than most divers.

A 200m rated field watch with an inner compass ring and a dial that looks right with a jacket.

What owners say

The SPB507 is under a year old, so much of the owner record comes from the SPB121 it replaced. SPB121 owners on WatchUSeek wear it daily for years, even in workshops, and like the green dial and date magnifier, but report loose out of box accuracy (one lost about 20 seconds a day before regulation) and often swap the stock strap. On Uhrforum, SPB507 buyers mainly discuss price, with dealers already near €715 against the €980 list, and reviewers call the movement finishing plain.
