The Portugieser Chronograph is the dress chronograph enthusiasts keep coming back to, and the current model has IWC's own column wheel calibre 69355 behind its clean two register dial. The thin bezel makes the 41mm case read larger and more open than a Speedmaster, the sapphire back shows the movement, and at about 13mm it still sits under a cuff. Expect 30m water resistance and 46 hours of reserve, so it suits office and evenings more than weekends outdoors.
The most legible and restrained dress chronograph in the tier, now with a column wheel movement.

What owners say
Owners describe it as having real presence without feeling oversized and praise the execution, but the missing lume comes up often and one reviewer called it useless in low light. On WatchUSeek one owner reported an intermittent chronograph minute hand on a three week old watch that the dealer repaired.

Thickness is 13.1mm in most reviews (13.0mm on one IWC sibling page).
